| What is it?
The Boston and District Silver Links Forum is a representative
group of older people made up of various groups and individuals from throughout
the district.
What does it do?
The Forum holds at least four open meetings a year at which groups or
individuals can raise their concerns, or make suggestions to service providers.
These issues can be both Local and National. The forum works with, and
has the full support of Help the Aged Age Concern Boston Borough Council
Lincolnshire Social Services and East Lincolnshire Primary Care Trust.
As an example, some of the issues raised by Forums across the county
are, Policing, Housing, Care and Repair Schemes, Transport and Mobility,
Benefits Agency Information, GP surgeries, Home Care, and many other issues
that effect the elderly (and the not so elderly).
Why take part.
Senior citizens forums are the voice of local older people, speaking
out on local and National Concerns. Your voice can make a difference,
not only to your life but to others around you.
