Bessie Wise, Chairman of The Skegness and District Seniors Forum, Ann Bliss, Treasurer and Sylvia Blight, Secretary attended The Launch of East Lincolnshire Intermediate Care Strategy 2003-5 at the Admiral Rodney Hotel, Horncastle on Thursday 27th March.

One hundred and twenty people from a wide range of agencies attended.

Following the buffet lunch, Jayne Froggatt, Chief Executive of East Lincolnshire Primary Care NHS Trust, welcomed everyone and outlined the afternoon’s packed programme.

The Official Launch Strategy was presented by Dr Brian Wookey, Chairman East Lincolnshire Primary Care Trust, and Cllr Edward Bliss CBE, Executive Member (Health & Social Care) Lincolnshire County Council.

Sharon Gandy – Development Officer for Older People’s Services Lincolnshire interviewed a selection of older people who had received intermediate care.
They all related their personal situations and highly praised the care they had received. Mrs Woodcock, from Burgh le Marsh, was particularly pleased, and gave a glowing account.

Slide show presentations were given by:
