Recent Issues in which we have been involved
The Welland and Holbeach Forums have produced a leaflet containing details of reliable tradesmen who have been recommended by members. This is being updated in the near future.
This is a scheme whereby details of medication being taken can be recorded and the record put into a small plastic bottle which is kept in the fridge. A small sticker is placed in the window by the door to indicate the scheme is being operated at that house. The idea is that if a health emergency occurs and the occupant is to be taken to hospital, the ambulance personnel can pick up the bottle from the fridge and take it with the patient to hospital so treatment can continue without delay. The bottles have been produce, funded by Age Concern, and have been distributed via the doctors’ surgeries to all those over 55 in the area. More are available should you require one.
Our Treasurer, Sheila Tyler, is our representative on the Public Involvement Group and is continually updating us on the current position regarding the building and its interior. |
