Welland Seniors’ Forum was set up five years
ago as a watchdog for the concerns of older people in the Welland villages
and Spalding. We cover an area from Crowland to Donington to Weston as
well as Spalding and try to hold our Open Meetings, held 5 times a year,
in the villages as well as Spalding. Our aim is to listen to the concerns
of older people, expressed in letters or at our meetings, which the committee
then investigate and try to resolve. We work together to improve local
services and also offer a valuable source of advice to local authorities
and health bodies on older people’s issues. Examples of issues that
could be raised include community safety, P O closures, local transport,
health issues etc.
Anyone over 55 is welcome to attend the Forum and raise matters. We do
our best to get answers from the authorities.
